The Challenge
Avaya is a leader in business communications solutions needed to significantly raise its profile in Canada. They teamed up with Telanet, a Canadian telecommunications and infrastructure services firm. Together, they wanted to start a conversation around the benefits of a new breed of cloud-based communications solutions. They needed something new—something fresh that spoke in a clear and simple manner—all within an ambitious timeline.
The Solution
The Sherpa team partnered with Snow Digital and Social Media and CopyBard Communications to come up with a campaign concept that would truly soar. “Up and Away” with its aspirational hot air balloon imagery was born. From a design standpoint, we avoided stock images of globes and business people in favour of uplifting and fun original illustrations to grab attention. Sherpa engaged illustrator Carl Wiens to create a standout illustrative look, and had the content and design crafted to take us where we needed to go: upward bound.
The Results
The Avaya/Telanet “Up and Away” campaign was rolled out over a new website, a social campaign and promotional material for a US trade show. The campaign reached more than 50,000 eyeballs and had 470 engagements over the five weeks it ran.
